The EVS textbook consists of 12 lessons covering various themes such as family, relations, work, games, animals, plants, food, water, shelters, travel, village, and things we make. The lessons are written in simple language and enriched with both beautiful and real pictures. The exercises in the textbook aim to stimulate the inquisitiveness and questioning skills of children. Each lesson provides opportunities for self-learning, participation in activities related to information skills, observation, exploration, and project work, aligning with continuous comprehensive evaluation (CCE).

At the end of each lesson, exercises are titled ‘Do this,’ focusing on conceptual understanding, drawing, coloring pictures, information skills, project works, appreciation, and questioning as identified competencies.
