Key Changes in JEE Main 2025 Exam Pattern
The JEE Main 2025 Exam Pattern has undergone significant changes. This year, there will be no optional questions in Section B of each subject. Each paper will have fixed sections, and students are required to answer all questions in Section B, which now contains only 5 questions per subject. This adjustment aligns with the NTA’s goal of standardizing question requirements across subjects.
JEE Main 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates planning to apply for JEE Main 2025 must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Age Limit: There is no age limit to appear for JEE Main 2025. However, candidates must check individual institutions’ age requirements.
- Year of Passing Class 12: Candidates must have completed their Class 12 exams in 2023, 2024, or be appearing in 2025. Those who passed Class 12 in 2022 or earlier, or are set to appear in 2026, are ineligible.
- Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have completed Class 12 or an equivalent exam such as a two-year Pre-University exam.
- State Code of Eligibility: This code is based on the state in which the candidate completed their qualifying exam.
JEE Main 2025 Exam Structure and Syllabus
Examination Scheme
The JEE Main 2025 will be held in Computer-Based Mode for most sections:
- Paper 1 (BE/BTech): Covers Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry with a blend of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and numerical value-based questions.
- Paper 2A (BArch): Comprises Mathematics, an Aptitude Test, and a Drawing Test on A4 paper.

- Upon successful registration, candidates will receive a confirmation email with the application number.
JEE Main 2025 Admit Card
Once the application form is submitted, candidates can download their JEE Main Admit Card from the official site. The admit card includes details like exam date, center, and instructions.
JEE Main Mock Tests and Result

- Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. Under no circumstances, candidates will be allowed to fill more than one Application Form. Strict action will be taken, even at a later stage, against such candidates who have filled more than one Application
- Candidates must strictly follow the instructions given in the Information Bulletin and on the NTA website. Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be summarily
- Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form are their own or Parents/Guardians’ only as all information/ communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address or SMS on the registered Mobile Number
