Activities, Celebrations on National Constitution Day 26th Nov at School Level
Department of School Education has issued certain instructions as per Rc.No. ESE02-TRGC/4/2024-SCC, dated: 28/10/2024 regarding celebrations of National Constitution Day 26th Nov at school level by conducting innovative activities and competitions to create mass awareness on Indian Constitution.
Create Mass Awareness on National Constitution Day 26th Nov
The attention of all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers and District Secretaries of BSG in the State is invited to the reference cited that the National Headquarters, New Delhi has informed that the “National Constitution Day” also known as ‘Samvidhan Divas’ is observed in our country on “26th November” every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. On 26th November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, which came into effect from 26th January 1950. The aim is to publicize the rich composite culture and diversity of the nation. It also aims to create awareness of Fundamental Duties as enshrined in the Indian Constitution as under.
- To create awareness on the rights and responsibilities of a good Citizen.
- Enable awareness on the Fundamental duties of a citizen and what does
- it mean to be an active Citizen Spread the importance of the Constitution of India spread the message of Equality and Affirmative action’s.
- Help our children earn the Citizen badge.
Instructions to DEOs & RJDs
Therefore, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers and District Secretaries of BSG in the State are requested to Celebrate the “Constitution Day” for inspiring and advocate for the future generation that holds the key to a brighter tomorrow and to conduct of the following innovative activities and competitions to create mass awareness on the constitution of the country in the Schools across the Andhra Pradesh. After completion of the celebrations, it is requested to submit the brief report with action photographs to State Headquarters by 28th November 2024.

- Talks/Discussions/Debates about the Constitutional Values and Principles of the Indian Constitution.
- Create Awareness – Advocate in the community.
- Youth Parliament (Rover/Ranger) about Constitutional Rights and Responsibilities.
