1. Title and Applicability of Rules

Short Title:

These rules shall be known as the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Recruitment Test (AP TRT) Selection Rules, 2025 for the posts of:

  • Principals

  • Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs)

  • Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs)

  • Physical Directors (PDs)

  • Physical Education Teachers (PETs)

Scope of Applicability:

These rules apply to recruitment for the above posts in:

  • AP Model Schools

  • MJPAPBCWREIS

  • APREIS

  • APSWREIS

  • APTWREIS (Gurukulam)

  • Other schools as notified by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Enforcement:

These rules come into effect immediately from the date of issuance.

AP DSC 2025: Method of Recruitment

Recruitment will be conducted through a Computer-Based Test (CBT) along with additional criteria as prescribed by the Government.

Principals:

  • Paper-I: English Language Proficiency Test (Qualifying Only) – 100 marks

  • Paper-II: CBT – 100 marks

  • Note: TET is not required.

Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs):

  • Non-Language Subjects:

    • Paper-I: English Proficiency Test – 100 marks (qualifying)

    • Paper-II: CBT – 100 marks

  • Language Subjects:

Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs):

  • Language Subjects:

    • CBT – 80 marks + 20 marks APTET/CTET weightage

    • Note: No English Proficiency Test for language subjects.

Physical Directors (PDs) and Physical Education Teachers (PETs):

  • CBT: 100 marks

  • No TET or English Proficiency Test required.

Important Notes:

  • Screening Test (English Proficiency) is compulsory for Principal, PGT (Non-Language), and TGT (Non-Language) applicants.

  • Qualifying Marks:

    • OC/BC/EWS: 60 marks

    • SC/ST/PH/Ex-Servicemen: 50 marks

  • Selection Process is strictly based on merit-cum-roster system as per G.O.Ms.No.77 (02.08.2023), G.O.Ms.No.12 (15.04.2025), and G.O.Ms.Nos.46 & 47 (19.04.2025).
