AP Govt. has issued Go.16 Dt:19/04/2025 for the recruitment of teaching pots PGT, TGT, Principals as part of Mega DSC-2025. In the Go.16 it is mentioned clearly about rules and regulations, number of papers to be appeared online, required qualifications for the posts of PGT, TGT, Principals in APTWREIS (Gurukulam) Schools. According to the G0.16 the recruitment shall be through a selection process consisting of Computer Based Test (CBT) and other criteria stipulated by the AP Government from time to time. 1. Title and Applicability of Rules

Short Title:

These rules shall be known as the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Recruitment Test (AP TRT) Selection Rules, 2025 for the posts of:

• Principals

• Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs)

• Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs)

• Physical Directors (PDs)

• Physical Education Teachers (PETs)

Scope of Applicability:

These rules apply to recruitment for the above posts in:

• AP Model Schools

• MJPAPBCWREIS

• APREIS

• APSWREIS

• APTWREIS (Gurukulam)

• Other schools as notified by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Enforcement:

These rules come into effect immediately from the date of issuance.

AP DSC 2025: Method of Recruitment

Recruitment will be conducted through a Computer-Based Test (CBT) along with additional criteria as prescribed by the Government.

Principals:

• Paper-I: English Language Proficiency Test (Qualifying Only) – 100 marks

• Paper-II: CBT – 100 marks

• Note: TET is not required.

Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs):

• Non-Language Subjects:

  • Paper-I: English Proficiency Test – 100 marks (qualifying)

  • Paper-II: CBT – 100 marks

• Language Subjects:

  • CBT – 100 marks

• TET Not Required.

Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs):

• Non-Language Subjects:

  • Paper-I: English Proficiency Test – 100 marks (qualifying)

  • Paper-II: 100 marks (80 marks CBT + 20 marks APTET/CTET weightage)

• Language Subjects:

  • CBT – 80 marks + 20 marks APTET/CTET weightage

  • Note: No English Proficiency Test for language subjects.

Physical Directors (PDs) and Physical Education Teachers (PETs):

• CBT: 100 marks

• No TET or English Proficiency Test required.

Important Notes:

• Screening Test (English Proficiency) is compulsory for Principal, PGT (Non-Language), and TGT (Non-Language) applicants.

• Qualifying Marks:

  • OC/BC/EWS: 60 marks

  • SC/ST/PH/Ex-Servicemen: 50 marks

• Selection Process is strictly based on merit-cum-roster system as per G.O.Ms.No.77 (02.08.2023), G.O.Ms.No.12 (15.04.2025), and G.O.Ms.Nos.46 & 47 (19.04.2025).

AP DSC 2025: Qualifications and Eligibility

General Eligibility:

1. Candidates must possess the required academic and professional qualifications on or before the last date of application submission.

• Any two-year integrated PG Course from RIE (NCERT) or any Master’s Degree with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/BC/PwD)

• B.Ed./B.Ed. Special Education recognized by NCTE/RCI

• OR PG with 55% and 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

Experience Requirements:

Must have relevant teaching or administrative experience in English Medium institutions as on notification date:

1. Principals/Vice-Principals in recognized senior secondary schools with minimum 3 years of service in Pay Scale ₹61,960 – ₹1,51,370

2. PGTs/Lecturers with minimum 5 years of service in Pay Scale ₹48,440 – ₹1,37,220
