AP Sankranthi Holidays from 12th Jan to 18th Jan 2023
When we enter in January month, we are all in festive mood of Sankrathi Holidays. Commissioner of School Education has declared Sankranthi holidays from 12th January to 18th January 2023 i.e for 7 days. For this Commissioner of School Education has issued Rc No:ESE02/992/2022-SCERT. The complete proceedings regarding Sankranthi holidays is as follows.

Order:
All the Regional Joint Directors(RJDs) of School Education, the District Educational Officers(DEOs), and the Principals of DIETS in the State are aware that Sankranti holidays have been notified from 11th January to 16th January 2023 (6days) in the Academic Calendar 2022-23.
Certain representations have been received by the Hon’ble Minister for School Education requesting to extend Sankranti holidays up to 18th January 2023. In the circumstances, it is decided to re-notify the holidays from 12th to 18th, January 2023 (7days) duly ensuring one day as compensatory working day on any holiday.
Therefore, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education, the District Educational Officers and the Principals of DIETS in the State are requested to disseminate the same to all the field functionaries.

మన తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాల ప్రజలు జరుపుకునే అతి పెద్ద పండుగల్లో సంక్రాంతి కూడా ఒకటి
ఐతే ఈ ఏడాది సంక్రాంతి తేదీకి సంబంధించి ప్రజల్లో గందరగోళం నెలకొంది. మకర సంక్రాంతిని జనవరి 14న జరుపుకుంటారా లేక జనవరి 15న జరుపుకుంటారా? అని కన్‌ఫ్యూజన్ మొదలయింది. దీనికి ప్రధాన కారణం.. మకర సంక్రమణం రాత్రి పూట జరగడమే. సూర్యుడు మకర రాశిలోకి ప్రవేశించడాన్నే మకర సంక్రమణం అంటారు. ఆ రోజునే సంక్రాతి జరుపుకుంటారు. ఐతే ఈసారి సూర్యుడి రాశి పరివర్తనం రాత్రి పూట జరుగుతుండడంతో.. పండగను ఎప్పుడు జరుపుకోవాలన్న దానిపై అనేక సందేహాలు వినిపిస్తున్నాయి.
సూర్యుడు మకరరాశిలో సంచరించిన రోజునే మకర సంక్రాంతిని జరుపుకుంటారు. ఈ సంవత్సరం జనవరి 14వ తేదీ (శనివారం) రాత్రి 08.45 నిమిషాలకు సూర్యభగవానుడు మకరరాశిలో సంచరిస్తున్నాడు. అందువల్ల జనవరి 14న మకర సంక్రాంతి ముహుర్తం వస్తోంది. ఐతే సూర్యుడు మకరరాశిలోకి ప్రవేశించే సమయం కారణంగా మకర సంక్రాంతి తేదీ విషయంలో ఈసారి గందరగోళం నెలకొంది.
మకర సంక్రాంతి 2023 ఎప్పుడు?
పంచాంగం ప్రకారం.. సూర్యుని మకర సంక్రాంతి ముహూర్తం జనవరి 14, శనివారం రాత్రి 08:45కి ఉంటుంది. సాధారణంగా మకర సంక్రాంతి సమయంలో స్నానం, దానాలు వంటివి చేస్తుంటారు. కానీ రాత్రి సమయంలో సంక్రాంతి స్నానం, దానం చేయకూడదు. అందువల్ల ఉదయతిథి అంటే సూర్యుడు ఎప్పుడు ఉదయిస్తాడో, ఆ సమయంలో మకర సంక్రాంతి స్నానం, చేస్తారని చేయాలని పండితులు చెబుతున్నారు. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో ఈ సంవత్సరం మకర సంక్రాంతిని 15 జనవరి 2023 ఆదివారం జరుపుకుంటారని పేర్కొంటున్నారు.
మకర సంక్రాంతి జనవరి 15 న (ఆదివారం) ఉదయం 07:15 నుంచి సాయంత్రం 05:46 వరకు జరుపుకోవచ్చు. ఇక ఉదయం 07:15 నుండి 09:00 వరకు శుభ సమయం ఉంటుంది. ఈ సమయంలో సంక్రాంతి స్నానాలు , దానాలు చేస్తే మంచి జరుగుతుందని పండితులు చెబుతున్నారు. ఈసారి మకర సంక్రాంతి ఆదివారం వస్తుంది. ఆదివారం సూర్యుడికి సంబంధించినది. ఆ రోజున సూర్యభగవానుడిని పూజిస్తారు. మకర సంక్రాంతి రోజున కూడా సూర్యుడిని పూజిస్తారు. ఈసారి రెండూ ఒకేరోజు రావడంతో… ఆదివారం సూర్యభగవానుని ఆరాధించడం వల్ల మరిన్ని ఎక్కువ ఫలితాలు వస్తాయి. నుదుటన కుంకుమ బొట్టు పెట్టుకుని, నువ్వుల నూనెను గోరువెచ్చగా కాచి.. దానిని ఒళ్ళంతా మర్ధన చేసుకోవాలి. నల్లనువ్వులను కొన్ని తలపై వేసుకుని, సున్నిపిండితో ఒళ్ళు రుద్దుకుని తలస్నానం చేస్తారు. ఆ తర్వాత కొత్త బట్టలు ధరించి దేవుడిని పూజిస్తారు. కుటుంబ సభ్యులతో కలిసి పండి వంటలు తిని.. ఆ తర్వాత దాన ధర్మాలు చేస్తారు.
మకర సంక్రాంతి రోజున సూర్యభగవానుడు దక్షిణాయనం నుంచి ఉత్తరాయణంలోకి వస్తాడు. ఈ రోజు నుంచి ఖర్మాలు ముగుస్తాయి. వివాహం , గృహ ప్రవేశం వంటి మొదలైన శుభ కార్యాలు ప్రారంభమవుతాయి. సూర్యుడు ఉత్తరాయణంలో ఉన్నప్పుడు పగటి సమయం క్రమంగా పెరుగుతుంది. చలికాలం తగ్గుముఖం పట్టడంతో పాటు ఉష్ణోగ్రతలు క్రమంగా పెరుగుతాయి.
