No Schools in Certain Michang Cyclone Alert Areas
Commissioner of school Education, AP has released Michang Cyclone Alert as per the Circular Memo No:30/80/2023-A8 d -CSE; Dt: 03-12-2023. According to the circular for the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh, specifically from Nellore to Kakinada districts, effective until 06.12.2023. The complete proceedings regarding the Michang cyclone is as follows.
All District Collectors Should Be Aware of Cyclone!
All the District Collectors and Magistrates in the State are informed that the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a Cyclone alert for the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh, specifically from Nellore to Kakinada districts, effective until 06.12.2023. The forecast indicates a sustained surface wind speed of 80-90 Km, gusting to 100 KM during this period.
Therefore, all the District Collectors and Magistrates in the State are informed to take necessary action to ensure safety of the children. This includes declaring local holiday to all the educational institutions within their respective jurisdictions depending on the seniority of the Cyclone.
