AP EdCET-2024 Notification: AP Common Entrance Test AP EdCET-2024 notification has been released by Conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on behalf of APSCHE. Date of commencement of online AP EdCET applications is from 18th April 2024. AP EdCET-2024 entrance will be conducted on 8th June 2024 (Saturday) 9-00 am to 11-00 am for admission into regular B.Ed and B.Ed(Spl.HI/VI/ID) courses(2 years) for the academic year 2024-25.
Eligible candidates can submit their application through online only, by paying the registration and processing fee for OC Rs.650/- , for BC Rs.500/- and for SC/ST Rs.450/-. For B.Ed and B.Ed(Spl) course through online payment gateway. The online application of AP EdCET-2024 will be commenced from 18-04-2024 (Thursday). The last date of apply online without any late fee is 15-05-2024 (Wednesday). - The Applicants should be Indian Nationals.
- The Candidates should satisfy Local/Non-Local status requirements as laid down in the
Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order 1974 as
subsequently amended

Educational Qualifications for AP Ed.CET-2024
- Candidates should have passed/appearing for final year examinations of B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.Com./ B.C.A./B.B.M. at the time of submitting the Application for AP Ed.CET–2024. Candidates are required to produce marks memo and pass certificate at thetime of admission.
- Candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% marks either in the Bachelors Degree i.e., B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.Com./B.C.A./B.B.M and or in the Post–Graduate Degree in relevant subject or 5 years integrated course in the relevant subject of methodology or any other qualification equivalent thereto. However the candidates belonging to all other reserved categories S.C, S.T, B.C.(A/B/C/D/E), and physically handicapped should have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination. Note: The candidates who passed B.E/B.Tech. (with minimum of 55% of marks), with Mathematics, Physics are eligible for admission into the Course.
Age Limit
The candidates should have completed the age of 19 years on the 1st of July in the year in which notification is issued. There shall be no maximum age limit.
Registration Fee Payment Mode
AP Ed.CET-2024 registration fee is Rs 650/- for BC Rs. 500/-, for SC/ST Rs. 450/- registration fee . The registration fee may be paid at AP online centers or Mee Seva Centers in Andhra Pradesh . Candidates also can pay through gate way such as Credit Card or Debit Card in order to get facilitate.
AP Ed.CET-2024 Syllabus
The syllabus for AP Ed.CET2024 is candidates concerned Bachelor Degree Subject syllabus. The test will be also on General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Minimum English knowledge.
SCHEME OF EXAMINATION FOR AP Ed.CET-2024
The common entrance test will be of objective type (multiple choices) examination. Candidate has to answer 150 questions in two hours time.
Part-A: General English – 25 questions for 25 marks
Part-B:1) General Knowledge – 15 questions for 15 marks
2) Teaching Aptitude – 10 questions for 10 marks
Part-C: Methodology: Candidate has to choose one of the following subjects. It consists of
100 questions for 100 marks.
1) Mathematics – 100 questions for 100 marks
2) Physical Sciences – 100 questions for 100 marks
(i) Physics – 50 questions for 50 marks
(ii) Chemistry – 50 questions for 50 marks
3) Biological Sciences – 100 questions for 100 marks
(i) Botany – 50 questions for 50 marks
(ii) Zoology – 50 questions for 50 marks
4) Social Studies – 100 questions for 100 marks
(i) Geography – 35 questions for 35 marks
(ii) History – 30 questions for 30 marks
(iii) Civics – 15 questions for 15 marks
(iv) Economics – 20 questions for 20 marks
5) English – 100 questions for 100 marks
Note: Part – A and Part – B are common for all the candidates irrespective of Methodology chosen in Part-C.
Methodology Eligibility
1. Mathematics: Candidates with B.A/B.Sc. with Mathematics as one of the group subjects or B.C.A. candidate’s with Mathematics at intermediate level as a group subject or B.Tech. with Mathematics & Physics.
2. Physical Sciences: Candidates with B.Sc. who have studied Physics and Chemistry or Allied Material Sciences (See Annexure–I) under Part–II group subjects or B.C.A. Candidates with Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) at intermediate level as group subjects.
3. Biological Sciences: Candidates with B.Sc./B.Sc.(Home Science) who have studied Botany and Zoology or Allied Life Sciences (See Annexure–II) under Part–II group subjects or B.C.A. candidates with Biological Sciences at intermediate level as group subjects.
4. Social Studies: All candidates with B.A./B.Com./B.B.M. or B.C.A. candidates with Social Sciences at intermediate level as group subjects.
5. English: Candidates with B.A Special English or M.A. English.
Medium of Entrance B.Ed Test
The question paper will be in English and Telugu except for English methodology. However, candidates opting to write the Entrance Test in Urdu medium will be served with Urdu paper and such candidates shall opt Kurnool as Test Centre.
Qualifying Marks
The qualifying marks in the Entrance Test for all candidates (except SC/ST) are 37 out of total marks (i.e. 25%). For the candidates belonging to SC/ST communities, there will be no qualifying marks for ranking. There will be no minimum qualifying marks for women in Physical Sciences/Mathematics methodologies.
