India has been test fired Agni-5 successfully missile from its mobile launcher. In this Agni-V test-fire it has touched the range 5000kms successfully . It has the ability to deliver nuclear warheads more than one ton. Now, the complete area of China is in our range. Indian scientists are very happy with its prestigious success of the Agni-V missile.
Indian Prime Minister , Shri. Narendra Modi greeted Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) scientists for the great success of the Agni-5 and he remarked the success as the ‘Asset of the Indian Forces’
The missile was launched from the a canister at Wheeler Island off Odisha coast. It nearly weight 50 tons and it can easily launch during the war periods.
The missile has three stages with weighing 1360kgs, and its height is 17 meters and it has the future development possible for submarine launched variant.
The DRDO Chief Avinash Chander has stated and proclaimed This is a great momentous occasion to every Indian. It’s the first ever inter-continental ballistic missile (ICBM) launch from a canister. It’s a big achievement in country’s deterrent capability.
After successfully carried out the previous tests of the basic versions of Agni series during 2012 , 2013, India has got this big advanced model. This Agni-V will be inducted to the defense next year.
